One of the most important persons whose name is Kiichiro Iwai. He is a pioneer of Japanese whisky. “Iwai tradition” is his traditional model for mars whisky. By contrast, mars whisky “Iwai” is more lightly taste. Iwai is manufactured at Mars’s Shinshu Distillery, which is located at Nagano Perfecture at 798 meters above sea level. The environment of Shinshu Distillery is surrounded by granitic soil with crystal clear water source, which is perfect for the high standard whisky production.
Iwai collection is named after the creator of Mars distillery, Kiichiro Iwai, who is also the former mentor of Masataka Takesturu.
