Villapoggio Salvi Vaio – Morellino di Scansano DOCG 750ml

Tasting Notes:  Sangiovese, Age of vines: between 10 - 15 years old. 15,000 bottles produced. Vaio is an old antique word that stood for ‘dark or black sprinkled’ as well as for ‘darkening’. To
cherish the memory of this almost forgotten word, we called this wine ‘Vaio’, another gem of Tuscan wine making tradition. In this Vaio, a clearly structured flavor
meets with the fresh and fruitiness of a still young wine that holds quite a potential for ageing and evolving. From 2007 vintage, Morellino di Scansano has
received the ‘Garantita’ becoming therefore the seventh DOCG in Tuscany. Fruity with hints of cherries and plum aromas. Rich, harmonic with soft and velvety
tannins on the palate.
